The SVT Raptor version of the Ford F-150 is the Blue Oval’s crowning success in making an off-road performance pickup and even though it has hit the dealer showrooms just over a year ago updates have already been scheduled for next year.

Ending all suspicion and speculation, a SuperCrew version featuring four doors will be available (in case the number of wacky enough friends to join you on a desert bashing passes 1). However, something which wasn’t so predictable was the dropping of the 5.4 liter V8 engine.
Not that it’s that big a problem since for just a smudge more money you can get the full cheeseburger, a 6.2 liter V8 engine that is better in every way (well, almost).
As far as the SuperCrew’s stats are concerned you should know that the wheelbase has grown a full 12 inches when compared to the standard Raptor, meaning it should help comfort and space. Also the 5.5 foot box “in the back” can still suck up just about anything you’d want to carry.
The rest of the change list is rather cosmetic as it is boasting a new exterior color available, some decals and matte black accent graphics are available on the hood. One other change that might be interesting is the revised gauge panel which now features a standard 4.2 inch LCD display which may come in handy. Probably when monitoring the amount of air time.
