The 2012 Range Rover Evoque is just a few months away from the scheduled start of deliveries so it is inappropriate to keep going on without knowing a price tag.
Happily though, Land Rover didn’t slouch off this matter for too long and they’ve put a sticker in the window of the baby Range Rover.
Before I spoil the surprise I’d like to point out that the 2012 Range Rover Evoque will be available in three trim levels and 160 countries worldwide.
There’s no point in delaying this so here goes: prices for the 2012 Range Rover Evoque start at $43.995 for the five door with the coupe being a little more expensive. The sportier looking version starts at $44.995 and both of these include destination and delivery charges.
The new customers the 2012 Range Rover Evoque will attract to the British brand are most likely to care mostly about the looks and fuel economy. The looks are about as right as they can be for this sort of miniature off-roader and the economy is the best Land Rover could do.
Rated at 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, it is acceptable for the class but for Land Rover as a brand it is a massive improvement.
More seasoned customers will probably want to learn more about the trim and options. According to Land Rover, the Evoque offerings include the Pure, Prestige and Dynamic trim levels, each with a set of features.
The Pure is what should be called the entry level setup and yet it offers a very homely interior with neutral lighting, clean simple shapes and soft-touch, wrapped materials on the major surfaces contrast with the real-metal brushed aluminum trim.
In Prestige trim, the Range Rover Evoque makes more of a presence for itself since the wheels grow to 19 or optionally to 20 inches, some sparkling metallic detail is added as well.
The interior on the other hand gets covered in premium leather almost entirely. There’s twin needle stitching, real wood, real metal and a very special dual tone aspect.
For those who can’t have anything that’s not top of the line, the Dynamic trim level makes the exterior of the Range Rover Evoque even better stanced with yet more intricate details available. The interior gets perforated leather and some sporty details as well.
It’s a bit dry in terms of upgrades over the Prestige setup but the big ace up the Dynamic trim level’s sleeve is the ability to do some color customizing to the roof.
