If you’re an U.S. resident, you should know that the sensible SUV will start somewhere around the $35.000 mark.

For something that costs about 35 grand you’ll be getting a 2012 Saab 9-4X that’s powered by a 3.0 liter V6 with direct injection. This unit puts out about 265 horsepower and still manages 20 mpg.

If you want to go for the bells and whistles version, the 2012 Saab 9-4X Aero you’ll have to dish out $48.835. But you can rest easy that your money is well spent. The 9-4X Aero features XWD all wheel drive system and a 2.8 liter turbocharged V6 engine.

With more power, more weight, and less engine, the 9-4X Aero will manage to deliver some 18 mpg. But that said, it is less engine only in terms of size because the 2.8 turbo version puts out no less than 300 horsepower.

Naturally, there are options and trim levels in between but what you should know is this. Give or take the looks and a few less important options, this is a much much better looking version of the Cadillac SRX.
