The Germans at Volkswagen have an enormous family that includes plenty of car makers from various bits of Europe. In this big family of theirs they still manage to run a tight ship.
Most importantly, they know how to keep the kids happy, point well proven with what we see here, the 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line.
Following in the steps of its bigger brother, the Volkswagen Touareg R-Line, the Tiguan crossover, gets a premium feel added.
A VW Tiguan R-Line package consists of two components, one fitted to the interior, the other being set to the exterior look.
Inside the Tiguan R-Line, Volkswagen offer special upholstery with a black roofliner, aluminium pedals, tons of badges, sport seats (front only) and sports steering wheel.
Outside, the R-Line comes with special front and rear bumpers with a clean redesign, an added roof spoiler, a black rear diffuser, plenty of logos, more aluminium in the door sill plates and 19 inch Mallory double five spoke alloy wheels.
Pricing for the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line comes in at €840 for the interior package (2.120 if you go for the leather) and a slightly toastier €2.460 for the exterior additions.
Some of the parts can be ordered as optional extras individually and, for the time being, the Volkswagen Tiguan’s R-Line trim level is only available in Europe.
