Audi is preparing to launch the Avant (estate) version of the high-performance RS6. The model is currently under serious tests, the current spy photos showing the German car on the Nurburgring circuit.
According to the last rumors, the all-new Audi RS6 Avant will get a nww 4.0-liter V8 engine capable to deliver 513 horsepower and 650Nm of torque.
These performance figures are available for the Audi S8, current assumptions saying that the total output of this V8 unit could be even greater on the RS6.
There are still some doubts when it comes to transmissions as the new German model can use an eight-speed automatic transmission or a new seven-speed dual-clutch one.
Whichever, the powerful twin-turbo V8 should propel the RS6 Avant from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4,5 seconds, while the top speed will be limited at 250 km/h.
Expect more information on this subject as the debut date get closer.
