The Koreans are up to their old tricks as the new cars they’ve unveiled a new product very humbly. Just a small online revealing before anything.
We don’t really know when the regular kind of unveiling will take place with the new Kia Forte and nor do we know how much more than 10 journalists will attend it.
That’s a bit of a shame because the Kia Forte has grown a lot since the beginning. It’s not getting one of those minor facelifts that seem to barely touch the surface of the car.
In getting ready for 2013, the Kia Forte got a new design sitting on a brand new body which promises to be bigger, safer and yet more fuel efficient than the first generation.
That’s pretty much what every new car these days promises but we won’t get into any actual facts until the Geneva Motor Show. We don’t know if that’s to be the actual unveiling place but its presence there will make for some extra detail sharing.
Meanwhile it’s pretty obvious that everybody in Europe will actually be waiting for the five door hatchback version rather than the compact sedan.
If it keeps the growth and improvement factor to a similar range, Kia’s Forte could go into 2013 looking at an understated sales success.
According to the Korean car maker, the most important updated to bestow the Forte for 2013 is the fact that with this generation it will become a truly global car.
That sounds great but you can’t help but wonder, why on earth is it still going to have several names around the world.
