Here it is! The new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster has been officially introduced in Miami prior its premiere at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show.
Based on the Coupe variant, the new open-top Italian supercar benefits from a two-piece carbon fiber hard top. Lamborghini also provides a new exterior finish called Azzuro Thetis blue which is inspired from the 1968 Miura.
Under the hood we find the same 6.5-liter V12 power plant delivering 700 horsepower and linked to a seven-speed transmission.
Other features of the Roadster version include new 20- or 21-inch forged alloy wheels, revised trim and new Sabbia Nefertem leather upholstery inside. The new carbon fiber top weighs just 6 kilograms and is not electrically operated as you thought.
You will have to open or close it manually but that’s a small price to pay as there it’s more room and the car is lighter because a special mechanism able to operate the roof is not needed anymore.
The performance figures of the Aventador Roadster are slightly changed with a top speed of 350 km/h and a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3,0 seconds. The brand-new Lamborghini Aventador Roadster is now available for order at a starting price of €300,000.
