As you probably know from our previous articles that were related to this new Volkswagen Golf, the 2013 Golf R has a gasoline engine. The VW Golf R is greatly loved by VW enthusiasts and its engine offers 256hp and delivers 243 lb-ft of torque from 2.0L TSI (Inline-4) turbocharged engine.
As traction Golf R comes stock from the factory with 4MOTION all-wheel-drive for enhanced sportiness with perfect grip on the road and also for when you get it in the dead of winter and who knows what roads you travel adventures.
GOLF R comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Its acceleration is a very fast one, it takes only 5.6 seconds to reach 60mph/h (96km/h). Also you can opt for the automatic gearbox 6-speed DSG.
As versions, VW Golf R is available in 2 or even 4 versions if to take it as it appears on the official VW website. The Variants would be the following: 2-door VW Golf R which starts at $33,990, the next would be just the 2-door but with Sunroof & Nav., its price ranging anywhere from $35,490. Last 2 variants consist of 4-door with the price starting from $34,590 and as optional Sunroof & Nav., price jumping at about $36,090. Remember, these are starting prices, so once you add more new features to your new 2013 Golf R, the price will increase considerably.
