The BMW German premium carmaker has finally launched the long-expected 2015 BMW X5 M and the X6 M at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Showcased in the Long Beach Blue Metallic and the Donington Gray Metallic paintjobs, the two most powerful SUVs ever built, are here to set the paces for the upcoming SUV generation, revealing an extraordinary aggressive design, with large air intakes or the quad exhaust pipes at the rear.
The 21-inch light alloy wheels, all wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport, perfectly complement the extraordinary design cues and body finish.
But what is truly amazing about these two BMW SUVs is their performance and power under the hood, as they are indeed the M Division`s brothers. We are talking here about modified suspension, upper wishbones, optimized camber progression, or the steering pivot axis, all contributing to an increase of power.
Speaking of power, the 2015 BMW X5 M and X6 M are proud to come equipped with a 4.4-liter modified V8 unit, developing 567 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. We are talking about an increase 12 horsepower and 53 lb-ft of torque over the previous models, which make the SUV`s reach the 60 mph in 4.0 seconds.
The 2015 BMW X5 M will be available at $99,650, while the 2015 BMW X6 M will cost $103,050, both models coming with the $950 destination fees included.
