Lotus officially unveils today the new Elise S Cup R, a racing model which will be able to enter competitions such as the Lotus Cup series.
The lightweight British sports car weighs only 924 kilograms and features a 1.8-liter 2ZR-FE engine.
The four-cylinder supercharged engine is linked to a six-speed manual transmission. At the exterior, Lotus offers new carbon fiber parts such as the front splitter, rear diffuser and wing, side skirts and 16-inch alloy wheels with Yokohama Advan Neova AD07 LTS tires.
In order to save weight, the company offers a hardtop and polycarbonate rear window. At the interior, you will find HANS racing seats, a special roll cage and a quick release steering wheel.

The 2014 Lotus Elise S Cup R is priced from £39,125 in the United Kingdom.
