As the German luxury car manufacturer states, the van seen in the pictures is the “Mercedes Among MPVs”, as the car`s two features, both a Mercedes-Benz and also an MPV, greatly embody the feel of a luxurious vehicle.
We are talking about an eight-passenger vehicle, available in two wheelbases and three lengths. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz V-Class van is offered with three engine options, all of them with the same 2.1-liter four cylinder turbo-diesel units.
The base model, the V 200 comes with 136 horsepower and 243 pound-feet of torque, followed by a V 220 with 163 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.
The top model, C 250 is offered with 190 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. The 2014 V-Class claims to have more power than the previous V6 turbo-diesel with a less 28 percent fuel.
The V-Class is also offered with four driving parameters with a seven-speed automatic transmission like economical, comfortable, sporty and manual.
Inside, there are a lot of options and configurations to choose from. The standard specs feature a seven-inch LCD screen and a high-tech audio system.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz V-Class van will be sold in Europe starting with the 6th of March, with a limited model, called the Edition 1.
