After several spy photos, videos and teasers, the new Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series is officially revealed and ready to impress the audience through its sporty temper.
Under the metal sheet we find a massive 6.2-liter V8 engine capable to deliver 622 horsepower and 634Nm of torque. This makes the 0-100 km/h acceleration possible in 3,6 seconds which is 0,1 quicker than regular SLS AMG model.
The new German model benefits from several lightweight components able to improve the performance.
For example, there is a new titanium exhaust which is about 17 kilograms lighter, an aluminum spaceframe chassis which also brings its benefits in this case and a lithium-ion starter battery which is 7,9 kg lighter.
Other features of the new Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series include carbon-ceramic brakes, a mechanical differential lock, new electronically controlled suspension but also a reworked power steering system able to provide a more accurate response.
Inside, Mercedes offers full leather upholstery, a flat-bottom steering wheel, Alcantara trim, a premium Bang & Olufsen BeoSound audio system with a total output of 1,000-watt and much more.
