More and more carmakers are beginning to understand that the future is ”green” and this is the reason why a lot of models are becoming more environmentally friendly and are trying to come up with future viable solution for pollution.
It is also the case of Ford manufacturer, which has recently launched the 2015 Mondeo Hybrid model, set to be manufactured in Spain and reaching Europe at the beginning of 2015. In terms of costs, the model will have a similar price with the 2015 Mondeo 1.5 EcoBoost.
Apart from the fact that this is one big car, perfectly suitable for the D-segment, the model is also luxurious inside, coming with full leather and a lot of cool gizmos.
But under the hood is where everybody is turning their heads for, as the 2015 Ford Mondeo Hybrid is giving you the opportunity of riding a 2.0-liter petrol unit, reaching 140 horsepower and 173 Nm of torque alone.
The unit is backed by an electric motor and hooked to a 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, good enough to provide an extra 46 horsepower. The overall 186 horsepower comes with a low fuel consumption of just 4.2L for every 100 km, the model also being set to reach even a lower 2.8 L / 100 km.
