Some recent reports from Automotive News Europe state that the future 2015 Ford Mustang GT might be equipped with a 10-speed automatic gearbox, to face the top challenges from its high competitors.
The 2015 Ford Mustang will take its muscle battle against the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, which is also extremely powerful, by launching the GT version with the aforementioned gearbox.

The 2015 Ford Mustang GT will thus focus on technology, as a 10-speed automatic transmission, replacing the six-speed automatic, might be yet considered revolutionary in the auto industry.
The fresh 10-speed automatic will be also shared with General Motors, with the Ford to use it to equip the Mustang GT alone, and not the entire Mustang lineup yet.
The 2015 Ford Mustang will have a higher price, with chances for the model to also equip the mid-range 2.3-liter EcoBoost unit.
So far, the entry-level Mustang will keep its head down, with the current transmission pricing the model at $23,600.
