Lincoln released new details on the 2015 MKC as well as fuel economy figures for the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine. According to the carmaker, the 2.3-liter engine producing 285 horsepower and 413 Nm of torque, returns an average fuel consumption of 21 mpg or 11,2 liters/100 km.
In order to improve the consumption, Lincoln opted for several systems such as the Active Grille Shutters.
An entry-level 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine with 240hp and 366 Nm of torque is availabe as well. It returns 23mpg or 10,2 liters/100 km combined for the FWD model while the all-wheel drive version comes with 22mpg or 10,7 liters/100 km consumption figures.
The entry-level model starts at $33,995 and comes with a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. It also features paddle shifters, same as the 2.3-liter EcoBoost.
The new Lincoln MKC will be built at the company’s plant in Kentucky.
