The Mercedes-Benz German automaker has confirmed the presence of the GLA model in the United States, where the luxurious crossover can be bought from $31,300.
We are talking here about the cheapest Mercedes-Benz GLA crossover that will be hitting the US, without the $925 destination fees.
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA will include the GLA 250 base version, with the company also to offer the GLA 240 Automatic, as well as the top of the line GLA 45 AMG.
The mid-entry level 2015 GLA 240 4MATIC will set you back for at least $34,225, while the GLA 45 AMG top of the line will charge you a good $49,225.
The latter version is powered by the same 2.0-liter turbocharger four-cylinder unit, also found on the A45 AMG and the CLA45 AMG, developing 360 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.
The unit is hooked to a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT automatic transmission, with the power to be sent to all wheels.
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA is able thus to reach the – to 100 km/h mileage in 4.8 seconds, at a top electronically limited speed of 250 km/h.
