Mazda has officially launched the 2016 Miata MX-5 Club at the 2015 New York Auto Show and now, a limited edition has made its way at the event. It is the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Launch Edition, which will become available in the US starting May 5th, in just 1,000 units.
Even if we are talking about a limited edition, the good news is that the model is already available in preorders, and all you have to do is to place your $500 deposit, by accessing www.longlivetheroadster.com.
Jim O`Sullivan, the President for MNAO explains the company`s choice for this 1,000-unit limited edition, stating that “owners will be able to enjoy our latest entertainment, safety and luxury technologies – many of which are unique among sports cars. And of course, they’ll be the first to experience the exhilaration of being behind the wheel of one of the last true lightweight, driver-focused sports cars available today.”
The 2016 Mazda MX-5 Launch Edition is part of the company`s future MX-5 roadsters and will wrap a gorgeous Soul Red exterior paintjob while inside, the cabin will contrast the exterior, with the Sport Tan leather and some other goodies.
Amongst the goodies found inside, we can mention the lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring system, cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beam control, or the optional satellite radio, navigation and infotainment system. No performance and pricing details have been offered yet, but we should expect more info later on.
