The 2015 SEMA Show is one of the most special auto events of the year, with hundreds of carmakers to display their latest models. Chevrolet has also brought along the 2016 COPO Camaro sports car.
The 2016 Chevrolet COPO Camaro is based on the regular Camaro model and was specially designed for SEMA and it highlights a drag race car built in a joint venture with NHRA Funny Car driver Courtney Force, who was involved in the making of the car`s design.
From a mechanical point of view, the 2016 Chevrolet COPO Camaro is coming with sports rear suspension, solid rear axle and a new architecture which makes the car 60.5 kg lighter than the previous fifth generation COPO Camaro.
Under the hood, the 2016 Chevrolet COPO Camaro is packing a Whipple 2.9-liter supercharger V8 350i racing engine, with no performance numbers to be displayed at the moment.
The model will be presented at the 2016 Barrett-Jackson auction, the proceeds being offered for charity. Stay tuned for fresh auto news from the 2015 SEMA Show and don’t forget to share your opinions in the discussion section!
