When it first arrived, the Smart was quite the novelty, and not just because it was a cute, small city car.
But, unlike most novelties, the initial charm didn’t quite wash over so fast, and the Smart ForTwo has now reached the 2015 model year.
And with the official launch closing in, the Smart has started making its appearance in photos. This one was taken on the streets of Dubai, where Mercedes is testing it alongside two other models. Unfortunately, it is still under heavy camouflage, and we can’t really make out that much.
While the looks still elude us for now, we do know some tech data on the 2015 Smart ForTwo. First off, we know it will borrow heavily from the Renault Twingo, with which it shares 70 percent of components. Engine options are comprised of the 3 cylinder 1.0 liter SCe engine and a 3 cylinder 0.9 liter TCe turbocharged unit.
