The 2015 Volkswagen Touareg lineup has been introduced with a new engine, meaning a 3.0-liter TDI V6 unit, which would replace the now older 3.0-liter TDI unit, developing 245 horsepower and 7.2-liter fuel consumption per every 100 km.

The new 3.0-liter TDI V6 engine develops a good 262 horsepower, coming with a fuel consumption of 6.6-liter / 100 km, if connected with the 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 2015 Volkswagen Touareg is also coming with low CO2 emissions, meaning 174 g/km, as the engine is tweaking a new catalytic convertor, making it compliant with the Euro 6 standards.

Other performance features include a coasting feature, which disconnects the unit from the gearbox when there is no acceleration required, which eventually leads to a lower fuel consumption.

The 2015 Volkswagen Touareg will also be available with some optional features, like air suspension and traffic information system, Google Earth and Street View, all coming this October.

Unfortunately, the Volkswagen German based automaker hasn’t released any prices with the 2015 Touareg facelift SUV.
