Revealed in the photos, the updated 911 Carrera Cabriolet, is expected to debut in the 2015 calendar year, along with the new 911 Carrera Coupe.
Still, there are few details on the Porsche`s plans for the updated 911, but the prototypes reveal some minor clues, that can give us some ideas on what the models will be bringing.
The cars might seem to receive some revised daytime running lights at the front, with new intakes in the bumper and a possible active grille-style function for fuel economy.
At the back, there are also new intakes at the sides of the bumper. The present Carrera and the Carrera S do not feature these changes, suggesting that there might be some important updates to the cars` powertrains as well.
We might be talking thus about a new downsized engine for a better fitting. In any case, the performance might be also improved as well as the fuel economy.
The present 911 Carreras sport a 3.4-liter flat-six engine, developing 350 horsepower. The Carrera S versions, got a 3.8-liter flat-six engine and 400 horsepower. We will wait and see full specs on the cars soon.
