The Volkswagen Group is preparing the top fleet for the upcoming 2015 Geneva Motor Show, an event with a significant meaning in the auto industry worldwide. But there was an unexpected twist which made the German based carmaker to already unveil the 2016 Volkswagen Touran.
Perhaps Volkswagen is already campaigning its model, as a bunch of new images have been also released, showcasing the body language design as well as the beautiful interior. The model is announced however with a lot of interesting specifications and features.
First, let`s have a look inside, where the 2016 Volkswagen Touran will receive a lot of gizmos, out of which the Apple Car Play and the Google Android Auto systems have received important updates, along with the adaptive cruise control, MirrorLink technology or tri-zone climate control system. More features reveal high-end material on the dashboard and rear panels and a few more.
Going outside, the 2016 Volkswagen Touran is set to ride on the company`s new MQB platform which will provide a lot of conveniences, like a more spacious interior and more room for passengers and luggage. A 7-seat configurations will be also possible, enabling more cargo capacity with the respective seats being folded.
Moving under the hood, the 2016 Volkswagen Touran will be offered with a wide choice of engines, like the 1.2-liter TSI unit with 110 horsepower, the 1.4-liter TSI unit with 150 horsepower, the 1.8-liter TSI or the the 1.6-liter TSI, developing 110 horsepower. The 2.0-liter TDI with 150 horsepower and 190 horsepower will complete the engine lineup.
