The main competitor of Volkswagen Golf or Renault Megane, the all-new 2017 Hyundai i3 was unveiled ahead the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the model coming with exclusive features and a lot of safety systems.

As the carmaker states and proven in the photo gallery below, the new i30 comes with a “cascading grille” at the front, along with other styling elements that would make it a real standout amongst other models within the lineup.

The 2017 i30 comes with the same wheelbase, however it is 40 mm longer and 15 mm wider than the previous model. This means that the cargo capacity inside comes with an overall of 395 liters, and can be increased to 1,300 liters with the rear seats being folded down.

Inside, the cabin comes with a lot of high-tech goodies, like the eight-inch touchscreen with satellite navigation, media, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, adding as well a five-inch LCD with touchscreen, rearview camera, Bluetooth and My Music functions, updated three-spoke multi-functioning steering and the list of goodies keep on going.

One of the most important highlights of the car is the plethora of safety features. This means that the model comes fitted with Autonomous Emergency Braking with Front Collision Warning System, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Smart Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System, High Beam Assist or Speed Limit Information Function.

The engine lineup is also an interesting one, with three petrol burners and three diesels, starting with the 1.4-liter MPI with 99 horsepower and 134 Nm of torque, followed by a smaller 1.0-liter three-cylinder with 120 horsepower and 170 Nm of torque. Next, the top of the line 1.4-liter T-GDI turbo flat-four produces 140 horsepower and 242 Nm of torque.

The diesels come with the 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve engine, with 94 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque in the first output, followed by 108 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque, as well as 134 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque.
