The long-rumored 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class model was recently caught on shots by spy photographers from Autonews online magazine, while performing some tests at its plant in Stuttgart, Germany.

As seen in the spy shots, the mid-size luxury sedan will be bigger and will have a longer wheelbase than the previous model, meaning more leg room for the passengers in the back.

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz will still come with the sedan and the wagon body styles, while the coupe and the convertible will put the basis of the new CLS model.

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be also powerful under the hood, making room for fresh three- and four-cylinder units, while the top of the line E63 AMG will be powered by a 4.0-liter turbo, which is the one also found on the new AMG GT.

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz is rumored to be launched at the end of 2015 or the beginning of 2016.
