Mercedes and AMG are working on new generation models that would keep up close with the never-ending competition from BMW and Audi, and one of the latest test mule to be seen running tests is the 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63.
The model is set to be launched somewhere next year as a 2018 YM, and is still far away from reaching the highest levels of perfection, and that in order to be ready to take on BMW`s latest M5, which is extremely fast and powerful.
Caught on a spy video while refuelling at a petrol station, the 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 is wearing camouflage at the front and rear end, meaning some minor adjustments as opposed to the present version.
The final version will wear an extremely aggressive attitude with sharp design lines, which would bring it closer to the C63 and S63.
Under the hood, the future 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 will be fueled by a massive 4.0-liter twi-turbo V8 engine, the same one offered on the AMG GT sports models ant the top of the line E-Class. Power will come in two configurations, meaning 563 horsepower and 604 horsepower, being sent to all four axles via a high-performance nine-speed automatic transmission. This will make the new E63 extremely fast, with a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h performance in less than 4.0 seconds.
