We have to admit that Porsche has scored big time with the latest Panamera lineup, almost every version coming with the best attributes in terms of performance, design, impressive performance under the hood or extremely fuel-efficient and CO2 emissions.
The Panamera Turbo for instance has been declared the fastest saloon model on the Ring, with an extremely appealing and best body styling ever built, while the 4S Diesel has been declared the most powerful diesel in its class.
Now, the 4-E Hybrid version, slotted for the US next year, is one of the most fuel-efficient hybrids on the market.
As we already know, the 2018 Porsche Panamera 4-E Hybrid comes with a hybrid technology from the 918 Spyder, consisting of a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 330 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque, while its electric motor adds 136 horsepower and 296 lb-ft of torque. The total output of 462 horsepwoer and 516 lb-ft of torque is hooked to a high-performance eight-speed Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission.
The entire hybrid drivetrain is paired to a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery with a 12-hour rechargeable time. In case you are in a real hurry and want a quick one, than you can also use the onboard charger connected to the car`s 12.3-inch Porsche Communication Management (PCM) or a remote app, that simply allows a quich charge in just three hours.
The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is also mind-blowing, taking it just 4.4 seconds and almost catching-up the BMW M3/M4 with 4.3 seconds. The topping stands at 280 km/h. This also allows an exceptional fuel-consumption of just 2.5L for every 100 km, with the CO2 emissions standing at just 56 g/km.
