Hyundai carmaker has recently released the all-new 2019 i40, in both Sedan and Wagon disguises, the model receiving a couple of new enhancements, like updated interior, new safety features as well as an upgraded engine under the hood.
The car`s main highlight is the company`s brand-new SmartSense active safety that comes standard on both versions. There is also the driver assistance feature that improves driving characteristics. The SmartSense equipment includes the FCA system (Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist) with incorporated camera sensors which detect obstacles along the road.
Moving under the hood, the 2019 Hyunndai i40 can now be had with a 1.6-liter Smartstream diesel engine with two power levels: 115 PS and 280 Nm of torque, paired to a standard six-speed manual transmission, and 136 PS and 320 Nm of torque, respectively; the latter is also available with an optional seven-speed DCT. Customers can also get the car`s standard 1.6-liter petrol engine with 135 PS.
The interior has also received a couple of new enhancements, like new colours for leather trims (Merlot Red, Grey and Black combinations), along with Black and Beige clothing trims. There is also the grey stitching and Merlot on the doors, as well as the black door panels with orange accents. Finally, a metal mesh covers the dashboard and provides the interior with a sporty feel.
On the outside, the new 2019 Hyundai i40 is looking more appealing with the subtle changes. For instance, the standard 16- and 17-inch alloys have been replaced with the new 18-inch wheels, while at the front there is the new Cascading Grille with updated headlights.
