According to our sources at East Hills Subaru, Roslyn, NY, SIA acts as Subaru’s only manufacturing facility inside the U.S.A. that produces Ascent, Impreza, as well as the new 2020 Legacy and Outback models. Since the starting production of Subaru vehicles in 1989, SIA has increased its overall output of vehicles from 67,000 to approximately 380,000 per year employing around 5,900 associates and specialists. Most impressive is Subaru’s commitment to actively supporting the environment, marking SIA as the first auto assembly plant in the U.S.A. to achieve zero-landfill status. Each of the employees from SIA are exemplary leaders in environmental stewardship and volunteering, with the facility being recognized by the National Wildlife Federation as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat.
2020 Subaru Legacy’s Interior:
The 2020 Outback SUV has already established itself as a top-tier SUV ranking high on charts for its roomy and comfortable interior, spacious cargo capacity with impressive safety and tech features. Powering the Outback at higher trim levels is a strong 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer 4-cylinder engine that works well with the Outback’s off-road capabilities and supports a max tow capacity of 3,500 lbs. The roomy interior offers comfortable seating for driver and passengers while supporting a large cargo capacity, even for the mid-size SUV class.
2020 Subaru Outback:
The 2020 Outback also comes standard with Subaru’s award-winning Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and EyeSight Driver Assist Technology that works in conjunction with adaptive cruise control, lane centering assist, automatic pre-collision braking, and more.
The SIA facility also is now producing the 2020 Legacy, that has built itself through the generations as a capable and reliable sedan. The Legacy comes packed with a solid engine and drivetrain offering a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with a Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission offering a great response and smooth acceleration. Subaru continues their example set of environmental altruism with the 2020 Legacy’s great gas mileage thanks to the efficient turbocharged engine and features such as auto stop/start. The Legacy also brings in award-winning safety functionality with its kit including Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist Technology as well as the DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation system. These technologically advanced features help to prevent accidents while offering convenient driver assistance during everyday travel. Subaru anticipates high safety marks across the board with these features, on top of the sturdier frame that the Legacy will be wielding, helping to absorb over 40-percent more energy in a high-velocity impact situation.
