While the 2012 BMW 6 Series is hardly the sort of car that needs improving, it hasn’t really stopped specialist tuner AC Schnitzer from trying.
AC Schnitzer have done a decent amount of work on pretty much all fields considered relevant to tuning fans but to be honest, it’s the performance department that has the best looking info to offer.
Since they use the 2012 BMW 650i which already comes with just over 400 horsepower you know AC Schnitzer isn’t delivering a dog.
By using nothing more than a re-mapped ECU and a new exhaust system to help the engine breathe better the AC Schnitzer’s BMW 6 Series pushes out 540 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.
Thanks to that, lighter alloy double spoke 21 inch wheels, high performance tires around them and an updated suspension system and braking system there’s quite the change to consider.
The new BMW 6 Series in AC Schnitzer trim can go from 0 to 62 in just 4.4 seconds (half a second quicker than standard) and it can keep on accelerating to a de-restricted top speed of 186 mph.
You can decide for yourself if the exterior styling tuning package is good or not since it is very discrete and centered around the front of the car with a few detail attention points left for the interior.
This is where the AC Schnitzer BMW 650i gets a new steering wheel, aluminum pedals, velour floor mats and some extra aluminium trim.
