It’s always, and I do mean always, sad to hear about Alfa Romeo’s decision to stop making one of their cars but I’m afraid where at just that point in life.
The Alfa Romeo 159, is an epic looking sedan, truly one of the finest ones out there and it’s nearing the end of the line.
The model had been removed from production at the company’s Naples plant and not very long ago it was removed from the offer list in just about any major market out there.
While there are still some stocks out there, the Italians tell us there’s just one engine available and there’s just four colors to pick from if you want to catch one of the last ones.
Alfa Romeo isn’t ready to give us a replacement model for the 159 since the Giulia is far from ready to hit the markets and since the parent company decided to make the new Fiat Panda at the Naples plant there’s probably no rush to make a new one any time soon.
A predicted launch date for the Alfa Romeo’s replacement for the 159, the Giulia stands at 2013. Up until then, Fiat won’t have a proper sedan to offer to the market.
There’s always the option of a rebadged Chrysler 300 and while it’s also a looker it’s under no circumstance as good looking as the Giugiaro drawn Alfa Romeo 159.
