Audi released official pricing information on the new RS6 Avant, the high-performance wagon model which hits the Australian market this winter.
According to the company, pricing starts at 230,000 AUD with first units to be delivered in November. Power is offered by a 4.0-liter V8 powerplant producing 560 horsepower and 700Nm of torque, enough for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3,9 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h.
All the power is transferred to the wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. An optional Dynamic Package will remove the speed limit which allows the German wagon to hit a top speed of 280 km/h.
Moreover, the Dynamic Plus Package improves the figures even more to 305 km/h, the 0-100 km/h acceleration time remaining the same.
“Audi’s all new RS 6 Avant has been launched internationally. This superlative sportscar is heading to Australia for a local launch in November 2013,” says Audi. Sadly, as you probably know, the company has no plans to bring the high-performance wagon to the States.
