The Toyota Prius is one of the most known hybrid cars out there and possibly the first one to actually achieve world renown and request.
Yet for all the hype it caused, the eco-friendly Prius has had its share of problems and recalls, one even being related to exhaust issues (the irony).

And recently, it seems Toyota is planning another massive recall involving the Prius, again. The problem detected is related to the braking system. The investigations show that the brake pressure accumulator may fatigue or even crack if subjected to vibration.
Along side the Prius, Toyota is also recalling units from the Lexus HS 250h model, with a total of 87.000 units. All owners of these affected vehicles will receive mail explaining the situation. Direction will also be given to get the vehicles inspected and if the faulty component is discovered, Toyota will replace it free of charge.
