Audi will unveil the high-performance SQ5 SUV at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show, an event which is just few days away from us.
As you probably guessed, the new model is based on the well-known Q5 SUV and benefits from a 3.0-liter TSI unit producing 349 horsepower and 470Nm of torque.
The supercharged V6 engine provides a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 5,3 seconds while the top speed is limited at 250 km/h. Power is transferred to the wheels via an eight-speed tiptronic gearbox while the average fuel consumption is rated at 8,5 liters/100km.
The German SUV comes with larger 20-inch alloy wheels, 255/45 tires, new front grille, revised bumpers and side skirts but also a retuned suspension with new springs and shock absorbers.
The all-new Audi SQ5 will hit the U.S. dealerships this year, namely in the third quarter of 2013. Further availability and pricing details will be released by the German company in the coming months.
