Audi released details and photos on the updated A6 lineup, a model which receives a long-waited facelift treatment. At the exterior, the German carmaker will offer revised front grille, optical blocks, bumpers and side sills.
There aren’t major changes but just minor tweaks. The exhaust system is also revised while new optional equipment such as matrix LED headlights is available too.
If the appearance is barely changed, the engine range gets a quite significant overhaul. All the engines are now Euro 6-compliant while a new 1.8-liter TSI ultra unit with fuel economy figures of 5,7 liters/100 km or 41,3 mpg US is available as well.
A more frugal 2.0-liter TDI ultra producing 150 horses and consuming only 4,2 liters/100 km or 56 mpg US enters the range too.
If you are looking for a more powerful model, there is the Audi S6 with a 4.0-liter TFSI V8 producing 450 horsepower and a 0-100 km/h sprint of 4,4 seconds. The wagon version, namely the Audi S6 Avant, benefits from the same powerplant but is 0,2 seconds slower from standstill to 100 km/h.
Go even further with the Audi RS6 Avant and its 520 hp engine for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3,9 seconds. The new Audi A6 lineup will be available from this fall with prices starting at €38,400 and topping at €108,900 for the Audi RS6 Avant.
