The South Korean based Kia carmaker is trying to revived its model lineup in Australia by introducing a hardcore version of the present Sorento, which is no other than the GT-Line Package, coming with a lot of interesting styling features and impressive performance under the hood.

The 2017 Kia Sorento facelift already comes with extremely advanced aerodynamics, but the GT-Line adds more goodies on that matter. The package is mainly available on the Premium variant, which is now set in Australia at $58,490.

We are looking here at a bunch of new styling features, which make the new Sorento more aggressive, sportier as well as appealing to the eye. The most important styling bits refer to the “ice-cube” LED fog lights, stainless side steps, red brakes as well as the 19-inch chrome alloy wheels.

Inside, the GT-Line package comes with high-end materials, such as red leather and Alcantara, adding the latest gadgetry, including up-to-date infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity and more. Other features also refer to automatic transmission, chrome trimmings, autonomous emergency braking as standard and so forth.

In the engine department, the 2017 Kia Sorento GT-Line packs a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engine, with a good 147 kW and 441 Nm of torque, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.

On the other hand, Kia`s other versions within the Sorento lineup also come with slight changes, like LED daytime running lights on the Si and SLi. Besides the aforementioned price for the GT-Line package, the top of the line Platinum is also available from $56,590, which is $600 more compared to the last year`s model.
