Mercedes-Benz Australia is proud to announce the arrival of the powerful 2017 SL on the local market, with three versions available, all of them not coming cheap at all.

The SL 400 has a starting price of $218,715, and is followed by the SL 500, with $278,715. The top of the line 2017 Mercedes-AMG SL 63 will also make its present from a staggering $368,715. After all, we are dealing with a high-end model.

As standard, all versions come with top of the line features and the latest technology inside, while the exterior is mostly highlighted by the aluminum body or the electro-hydraulic automatic folding roof. Besides these common features, each version comes equipped with different engines, but all are equipped with the high-performance 9G nine-speed automatic.

The entry-level SL features LCD interface with Apple CarPlay, satellite navigation, 600W Harman Kardon stereo audio system, while under the hood, the version comes with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine V6, developing 270 kW and 500 Nm of torque.

Moving to the SL 500, this one adds more important features inside, like black ash wood trim, Nappa leather and a massive 4.7-liter twin-turbo engine, with 335 kW and 700 Nm of torque.

On the other hand, the top of the line 2017 Mercedes-Benz AMG SL 63 can be equipped as optional with 19-inch and 20-inch front and rear alloy wheels, along with sports exhaust system, AMG suspension with Active Body Control, panoramic roof and so on. The engine refers to a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8, with 430 kW and 900 Nm of torque.
