Hyundai Australia has recently announced the introduction of the updated Santa Fe, the hot model arriving on the local markets in a matter of days. It features a redesigned body style and new technical specifications, bringing as well plenty of onboard technologies.
The 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe comes with new visual enhancements like the “Cascading Grille” theme with two sets of headlights. The car`s structure is mainly made of high-strength steel, making it 15 percent more than the previous model.
The SUV is also bigger, now measuring 4.770 mm long, 1,680 mm tall and 1,890 m wide; the wheelbase also stands at 2,765 mm, with 185 mm of ground clearance. This means that the interior space has also been increased. The total boot-space is 625 liter, with second row legroom also growing to 28 mm, while the headroom for the third-row passengers is now increased by 22 mm.
As for technology, the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe features plenty of the latest gadgetries, also seen on other high-end models from Hyundai. Among the most important, we should mention the floating tablet style available with 7.0- to 8.0-inch touchscreen, respectively, adding 3D satellite navigation, and Apple CarPlay or Android connectivity.
Other important gizmos comprise digital instrument panel, adding heads-up display (HUD) or the Qi wireless smartphone charger, available for all models.
Just like most of any modern cars, the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe also comes available with the latest safety features – blind spot alert, forward collision mitigation, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, speed limiter and more.
As for engine lineup, the new Hyundai Santa Fe benefits from a series of new mills. The old V6 was ditched in favour of a 2.0-liter turbo with 172 kW and 353 Nm of torque. There is also the 2.2-liter R-Series turbo diesel with 144 kW and 436 Nm of torque, which replaces the Europe-bound 2.4-liter Theta II engine with 126kW and 241 Nm of torque.
