The all-new 2018 Audi Q2 is definitely the type of compact crossover you would want to drive for daily commuting, for picking-up your children from school or going for some shopping in a big crowded city.
It is a fast SUV that has become even faster now with the newly-introduced 2.0T engine in Australia. In the Land Down Under, the 2018 Audi Q2 Sport 2.0 TFSI costs $48,500 and is placed as a mid-entry level variant between the standard Q2 Design 1.4 TFSI ($41,800) and top of the line Q2 Sport 2.0 TDI ($49,100).
The model involved here features a turbo petrol engine with flat-four cylinder displacement, capable of churning out 140 kW and 320 Nm of torque. The entire power is sent to all four corners via a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The 2018 Audi Q2 2.0 TFSI drives so smooth that you won`t realize when you reach 100 km/h from a standstill, and that happens in just 6.5 seconds, at a top speed of 250 km/h. This variant is much feistier than the 2.0 TDI model, which develops 110 kW and 340 Nm of torque; the same sprint done in 9.2 seconds.
The all-new 2018 Audi Q2 Sport 2.0 TFSI is also fuel-efficient, burning out around 6.5L/100 km; and this is quite excellent given the car`s weight and power.
Visually, the 2018 Q2 Sport 2.0T features standard elements like LED rear indicators, contrasting C-pillar blade or 18-inch alloy wheels. Optionally, you can also get the LED interior lighting package.
As for interior space, the Sport variant benefits from a 355-liter boot, which can be fully-extended to 1,050 liters with the rear seats folded down.
