The German based carmaker brought the all-new 2017 Porsche Macan in Australia a couple of months ago, yet the lineup in the Land Down Under has been recently complete with the arrival of the entry-level 2.0T model.
Even if the 2017 Macan SUV is not considered as high-end as the Cayenne, it still comes with a lot of important features and a worthy price. This one here costs AUD 76,610 and becomes thus the most affordable within the lineup.
The entry-level variant comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four cylinder petrol, developing 185 kW and 370 Nm of torque. It also features a high-performance seven-speed dual-clutch PDK automatic transmission as standard, enabling a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. The topping stands at 229 km/h.
However, should you choose the Sport Chrono Package, then you will have a better sprint from 0 to 100 km/h, which translates in 6.5 seconds.
A good power and sprint comes with a good fuel-consumption, in this case the entry-level Macan achieving 7.4 liter per 100 km. The secret lies in the new lightweight materials that makes the model lighter than the previous generation, allowing an overall of 1,770 kg. Also, the up-to-date direct injection, variable valve timing and revised turbo contribute to the car`s performance and fuel-efficiency.
As for the car`s exterior features and gizmos inside, we should mention the basics – 19-inch Macan Turbo alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights with dynamic levelling, black exterior trimmings with black brakes, digital radio, three-zone climate control, tyre pressure monitoring, satellite-navigation, electric driver`s seat and so on.
