Volkswagen Group is also a major player in Australia, the German based carmaker launching its high-end models to compete against those from BMW or Mercedes-Benz, and the 2017 Volkswagen Passat is the perfect model to offer a wide range of exclusive high-end features and powerful engines.
The carmaker has announced its availability on the hot continent, the model being already offered for sale from an entry-level $35,490 and going all the way up to $50,790. The full prices can be seen in the media gallery below.
In terms, the all-new 2017 Passat is looking extremely luxurious with the new styling updates, the model keeping the carmaker`s new aggressive look with other bits, like 17-inch alloy wheels in Soho accents, with the possibility of also adding the R-Line package, meaning 18-inch alloys and other tweaks inside.
The car`s most important highlights are the standard air care dual-zone climate control, with luggage net in the Luxury pack or the fully digital instrument cluster available in the R-Line package.
As for the engine lineup, the 2017 Volkswagen Passat 206TSI model features the 2.0-liter turbo flat-four mill, the same one found on the Golf R, with a good 206 kW and an all-wheel drive configuration. No performance figures are available at the moment.
More than that, for those fancy drivers looking for something more extravagant and luxurious, the company is also offering other interesting packages, at extra costs, of course.
Thus, you could also get the Metallic / Pearl Effect exterior for $700, Driver assistance package in the 132 TSI costing $1,500, as well as the aforementioned packages – Luxury for $3,500, Luxury-Line, in the 132 TSI Comfortline, for $3,700 or the R-Line package, in the 140 TDI Highline, for $3,200.
