The hybrid segment in the Land Down Under will definitely become more interesting with the arrival of the 2018 Audi Q7 e-tron, a state-of-the-art SUV fully tweaked with technology and an impressive drivetrain under the hood.

Those living in Australia and looking forward to having the new 2018 Audi Q7 e-tron, will do that starting with January 2018, with model costing at least $139,900. It is quite an expensive car but given the plethora of high-end specifications, it is definitely worth the price.

The e-tron variant comes with the latest safety features, meaning autonomous emergency braking, active lane assist, blond-spot warning, pre-sense technology, and cross traffic assist. Thanks to Audi`s new safety systems, the 2018 Audi Q7 e-tron has also received the ANCAP five-star safety rating.

Technology wise, the new Q7 e-tron features the new 8.3-inch multimedia screen, Audi`s updated virtual cockpit digital instrument cluster, 3D maps, SIM card compatibility with Audi`s 4G connectivity, as well as 18-Watt sound system.

And since we are dealing here with the plug-in hybrid Q7 variant, the drivertrain under the hood remains the SUV`s main highlight concerning performance, mile range and fuel-consumption.

It is equipped with a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 engine, developing no less than 190 kW and 600 Nm of torque, and helped by an electric motor, which adds another 94 kW and 350 Nm of torque. That means an astonishing 275 kW and 700 Nm of torque.

With the new drivetrain, the 2018 Audi Q7 e-tron is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds, at a topping of 23- km/h. The full electric range is also standing at 56 km, achieved at a top speed of 135 km/h.

The 2018 Audi Q7 e-tron is also equipped with a 17.3 kW lithium ion-battery, thanks to which it burns just 1.9L/100 km. The battery can be fully recharged from an industrial or a standard household power system.
