After being rumored and showcased a little bit over the web, the so called BMW 9-Series might not be planned for the market, at least not in the near future, as inside sources from BMW have confirmed.
The BMW 9-Series has been long discussed, rumored, or planned, being based on the Vision Future Luxury model, displayed at 2014 Beijing Motor Show, as the direct rival of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. However, the insider from BMW has announced that such a model would not hit the production line.
We are not sure why BMW is not considering a high-end model for the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, as the BMW representative has not yet revealed more details on that particular matter, stating a firm ”no”, when asked about the future production of the 9-Series.
But how come the rumors as the direct rival for the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Well, given the car specifications early reported, all professionals from the auto industry has placed the model to compete against the S-Class.
The early reports indicated that the BMW 9-Series might have come with a lot high-end technical specifications, a revolutionary body design, as well as a lot of technology and high-quality materials inside the cabin.
So far, there are no official answers released by the carmaker, but we might presume that the German based company is having a lot of deals with its other newly purchased brands, like the Rolls-Royce, and perhaps it does not need another expensive high-end model.
