The Shanghai Auto Show is upon us, and the time has come for car makers to spill their beans on the latest models and dazzle us with new technology and concepts.
And Buick brings to the stage a reworked version of the Riviera concept car from 6 years ago.
The design certainly catches the eye, with it centered around the element of water. It does shows they stayed true to the central idea. Buick also claims that the Riviera concept previews the future design language the company wishes to pursue.
For power, the Buick Riviera concept uses the brand new dual-mode wireless plug-in hybrid electric vehicle propulsion system (W-PHEV). When it runs out of juice, you can charge it either traditionally, using a cable or even via a wireless sensory recharge panel.
There are other features as well that will keep you glued to this vehicle. Like four-wheel steering, electromagnetic-controlled suspension or air spring package. The Buick Riviera concept also has electronics like 4G internet connection, nigh view assist, full-range adaptive cruise control, autopilot system and even some sorcery going by the name of transparent A pillars.
