I know, I know, it sounds stupid, but to be honest, the current iteration Chevrolet Impala has been with us for so long that whenever you see it, you know it’s old.

And that’s the problem, even though it’s so old, Chevrolet isn’t exactly hurrying to solve that problem.

Worse still, the Impala’s new version, not just a facelift, that had been programmed for 2013 will now be happening till a whole year later, in 2014.

When it eventually does happen, the car will be based on the Epsilon platform and the engines and gearboxes powering it will be discovered at a later time.

For now, in order to keep the Chevrolet Impala running around for a couple or three years more GM is offering it with a 3.6-liter V6 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission.

And that’s where the list of changes completely ends, therefore making the Chevrolet Impala the place to go for company car fleets for another few years.

Or has any actual person bought this car for their own use?

Thought so, and if you were planning to get a new Chevrolet Impala that’s gotten caught in the American revolution that’s going on with cars you’re gonna have to wait.

A lot.
