The Citroen French based automaker has introduced its latest creation, the C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L Concept, ahead the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
The Citroen C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L Concept is coming with a lot of visual features, like a revised front bumper followed by three intakes which automatically open and close for improved aerodynamics.
More body features also include a large rear spoiler, rearview cameras which are now replacing the side mirrors, as well as the 19-inch active shutter wheels, all wrapped in ultra-rolling resistance tires.
Concerning the overall body weight, the Citroen C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L Concept is now 100 kg lighter, due to aluminum components and high-strength steel.
Under the hood, the Citroen C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L Concept comes with a three cylinder petrol unit, with a hydraulic pump / motor as well as a compressed air energy storage unit.
The entire system can be operated by air only, petrol only and both, coming thus with a fuel consumption of just 2L / 100 km/h.
