It seems the SP:01, the newest vehicle from Detroit Electric, will add another month to its current schedule.
Even with these new delays, Detroit Electric hopes to get the SP:01 on the assembly line by September, this year.

The SP:01 electric vehicle is based on the Lotus Exige and Detroit Electric plans to fit it with a mid mounted electric motor. The power output on it will be of 201 Hp and 225 Nm of torque. These figures will make for an acceleration time to 100 km/h of just 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.
The battery pack will manage to power the vehicle for around 306 km on a single charge, and getting them up to 100 percent again will take 4.3 hours.

The reason for this one month delay is the fact that the negotiations for the use of the plant in Plymouth Township, Michigan have taken more that originally estimated.
