A while back, a certain self-taught engraver got in the media’s attention with his very unique Honda Civic.
Now, the car maker has finally acknowledged Shawn Lisjack and his home project art car.
Shawn started working on his car ever since he started doing engravings, and has managed to sum up some 5000 hours of work on his Civic. That is approximately 208 full days of work, all done using a diamond-tip hand drill.
He dubbed his creation Engraved EG and during the two years needed to complete his project, he drew inspiration from various sources, like Japanese anime or various brands like the Monster energy drink. As recognition for his awesome dedication to both his art and his car, Honda decided to showcase the Engraved EG in its dealerships. The car maker’s facebook page also featured the impressive engraved Civic.
To cash in on his hard work, Shawn started selling engraved dog tags for 15 USD a piece.
