Ladies and gentlemen, we are in the presence of royalty. Ferrari vehicles are exclusive and important but one offs are truly special in just about any way you could imagine.
Ferrari one off such as the P4/5 that are later turned into race cars can’t be described as anything other than the very top, and this is what we have here.
The Ferrari P4/5 Competizione, a supercar that knows where and how it belongs to be driven. Based on the infamous Ferrari Enzo, the P4/5 street car is quite a peach with a few improvements.
Turning it into a race car has resulted in us petrolheads getting one of the finest fruit based deserts that may soon come from the automotive world.
Sadly in becoming a race car, more had to be made, and turning more Ferrari Enzos into racing cars was not an option, therefore engineers turned to the Ferrari 430 Scuderia in order to create the P4/5 Competizione.
This means that some of the pedigree has been lost, but as far as the technical achievement level is concerned this is actually a slight improvement.
Not sure yet on how many will be made, but the current Perrari P4/5 Competizione lays in the same stable as the original one, under James Glickenhaus’ wing.
He will also be racing the purest of these thoroughbreds at the 24 hour endurance race that’s held round the Nuburgring, while employing the services of a few famous race drivers.
A few easy to remember names would be Nicola Larini, Mika Salo, Fabricio Giovanardi and Luca Capellari.
