Fiat released official pricing details for the 2016 model year 500X, a model that will go on sale in the coming months. In the United States, the Italian model starts at $20,000.
The base model is called Pop and comes with a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo engine producing 160 horses and 184 lb-ft of torque.
Front-wheel drive is the only option for this variant while the optional $1,900 all-wheel drive system is available on the other versions. Next up in the range is the Easy trim level which starts at $22,300.
The range also includes the Trekking, Lounge and Trekking Plus variants, each one adding more and more equipment. However, you have to know what that standard model will give you in terms of equipment. While the exterior features are not very impressive for the base model, there are some interesting offerings inside.
We talk about heated front seats, keyless entry, a 6.5-inch touchscreen part of the Uconnect system, seven airbags and many other features. A more powerful 180hp unit with 175 lb-ft of torque is available as well and is linked to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
