It seems that the Germans from Opel are preparing a rival for the competitors in the segment, namely the Insignia Sport Tourer CrossFour. It might be a long name but the situation is not that complicated at all. Basically, we talk about a bigger Opel Insignia Sport Tourer, a model specially designed for customers with large families.
Even though these photos surfaced today and they are not official, we can see the significant appearance features of the German model.
We already know that the Opel Insignia Sport Tourer CrossFour will benefit from the FlexRide system, a rear locking differential, and a generous engine range including a 2.0-liter CDT-i engine with 158 horsepower and a more powerful 2.0-liter petrol unit with 192 horses.
If you opt for the diesel unit, the pricing starts from around €35,155 while the biturbo petrol engine is priced from €37,655. Both models are equipped with the Start/Stop system able to reduce the fuel consumption while the diesel unit can be ordered with a six-speed automatic transmission which adds extra €2,000 to the pricing.
